What is wu wei meaning?

Many people interpret "wu wei" as not deliberately doing things, not chasing fame and fortune in the heart, devoid of vanity, purely doing things for the people and the country! "Wu wei" governance means not adding one's personal actions. Everything conforms to the trend and regulations; adjusting and controlling!

When you do not know yourself, you belong to individual behavior. When you know yourself, you are no longer yourself, you are "wu wei". In fact, in my opinion, one sentence can explain clearly: "wu wei" is to do intangible things according to the virtue of nature and natural laws.

"Wu wei" is a way and realm of being human and doing things. Firstly, one must deeply understand the principles of the Great Way, bluntly speaking, it is the laws of nature. Secondly, achieve the mindset and spiritual realm of unity between heaven and humanity, which is the realm of nature. Only by meeting these two prerequisites can one truly embody "wu wei"! As for how to apply it, it depends on one's own realm!

The first realm: the realm of the source of the Great Way!

When dealing with human affairs, one must view them from the perspective of the vast Great Way. It's like standing on a high mountain, looking down at the ground from several thousand meters above sea level. Everything below becomes small hills and mounds, visible clearly in their entirety. Therefore, in dealing with human affairs, one must stand tall!

The second realm: Go with the flow, embrace all things.

In the Tao Te Ching, Laozi realizes the actions of the sage in wu wei, teaching without words, and also realizes the virtue of water: the highest goodness is like water, which can accommodate everything, use everything, and flow naturally without obstacles.

The third realm:

Doing active things with an attitude of non-action, using an attitude of detachment to engage in worldly affairs! It's about integrating wu wei and wei wu wei, known as the unity of yin and yang, the inner and the outer.

The fourth realm: Work from the root of the heart.

You must work from the fundamental root of the heart, not randomly on the surface. For example, when someone is sick, you must understand the root cause of their illness before treating them. If you only look at the surface and don't treat the root cause, the treatment will not only be ineffective but may worsen the situation.

The fifth realm: My mind is the universe, and the universe is my mind!

When you gaze at the stars and see the vastness of the world, your heart becomes broad. When we can perceive all the loves, hates, joys, and sorrows of the world, they all come from the inner perception and feeling.

The sixth realm: The Great Way stops at goodness, stops at love, stops at dedication!

The ultimate answer to all things in this universe is love. Without love, where does the universe come from, where do human beings and all things come from?

In summary: Life is a process of constantly improving oneself's wisdom and cultivating one's spiritual qualities!
