What is Female Internal Alchemy 女丹法?
Paul PengShare
The Female Internal Alchemy method, also known as "Female Internal Alchemy skill", "female golden Dan", "Kun Dao" and so on, refers to a set of systematic skills for women to practice internal Dan. The Female Internal Alchemy method emerged and continuously developed from Taoist qigong health preservation. With the rise of internal Dan technique, a relatively systematic theory was initially formed around the Song and Yuan dynasties.

As a branch of internal Dan technique, the Female Internal Alchemy method naturally falls within the scope of internal Dan theory in terms of its fundamental purpose, basic theory and cultivation methods. However, it differs from the male Dan method in some important aspects. The differences are roughly as follows:
First, there are differences in the guiding ideology and theoretical basis of cultivation. For example, the cultivation of qi is a necessary basic link in internal Dan skill. For men, this link is completed by refining essence into qi, while women must cultivate qi to achieve the Tao by transforming blood into qi. This is determined by women's physiological characteristics.
Second, there are differences in the specific methods of cultivation. This is mainly reflected in the fact that female practitioners have another method called "cutting off the red dragon", that is, a skill to stop menstrual discharge through practice.
Third, there are differences in the effects of cultivation. The Female Internal Alchemy method holds that female practitioners are easier to achieve results than male practitioners in such stages as refining qi, transforming spirit and returning to emptiness. This is mainly determined by women's psychological characteristics.
