"Fa Xiang" (法象, "Manifestations of the Dao") is a general term for the phenomena of things.
The Yi·Xici Shang states: "Therefore, nothing is greater than Heaven and Earth as manifestations of the Dao; nothing is more changing than the four seasons." Zhang Zai of the Northern Song Dynasty stated in Zheng Meng·Tai He: "What fills Heaven and Earth are manifestations of the Dao."
