The Yin-Yang Nine-Cycle Method for Projecting the Elixir
This book details the method of refining Ninefold Cinnabar, with the alchemy process as follows: The first transformation converts cinnabar into mercury; the second transforms mercury into cinnabar; the third converts cinnabar into mercury again; the fourth refines mercury to form mercury cinnabar; the fifth refines mercury cinnabar to make it slightly firm; the sixth refines the slightly firm mercury into pale yellow firm mercury; the seventh refines the pale yellow firm mercury into red gold foil; the eighth refines the red gold foil into purple gold cinnabar; the ninth refines the purple gold cinnabar into red return elixir. It is claimed that after removing fire toxins and metal toxins from the red return elixir, ingesting it can cure diseases and prolong life. Additionally, the elixir can be used to transmute mercury into gold, or lead and tin into gold. According to the alchemical medicines and methods recorded in this book, they are largely similar to those described in The Method of Divine Transformation of Ninefold Cinnabar for Protecting the Spirit by the Supreme Lord, with only slight differences in text length, medicinal names, and dosage.
