One of the Sixty-Four Hexagrams: Tian Shan Dun Hexagram [Extremely Inauspicious Hexagram] Retire from the World to Save the World

Hexagram Name:
Dun Hexagram [Extremely Inauspicious Hexagram] Retire from the World to Save the World

Image Interpretation:
Thick clouds obscure the sun, bringing no brightness. I advise you not to travel far. Marriage and seeking wealth will both be unfavorable; guard against verbal disputes coming to your door. This hexagram is an overlap of different trigrams (Gen below and Qian above). Qian represents heaven, and Gen represents mountain. There is a mountain under the heaven; the mountain is high while the heaven recedes. Yin energy grows and yang energy fades—petty people gain power, while virtuous people retreat to keep themselves safe and wait for the opportunity to save the world.

Career:
Fortune is unfavorable. You should consider retiring and not associate with unprincipled people. However, this is not a passive escape, but a way to preserve your strength, summarize experiences, grasp opportunities, and wait for the right time to emerge. Avoid acting rashly, as it will cause unnecessary losses. Also, do not be tempted by trivial gains and official salaries in front of you.

Business:
The market has entered a period of decline, with poor conditions. You must not insist on pursuing gains or invest blindly. Instead, stay calm and composed, adhere to business ethics, keep away from villains and unscrupulous merchants, preserve your own strength, and wait for the market to improve before planning for development.

Pursuit of Fame:
It is advisable to temporarily keep a low profile and live in seclusion. Devote yourself to summarizing and improving yourself to prepare for a comeback.

Travel:
It is not advisable to take active action. Instead, wait for the right opportunity, create conditions, and strive to go when the time is right.

Marriage:
Do not rush to resolve it, let alone act recklessly to force a result. When the time is ripe, you must treat it with a pure and sincere attitude.

Decision-Making:
You are in a period of decline, with petty people in power. Blind actions will surely lead to misfortune. Although you do not need to repay evil with evil, you must not associate with them and thus lose the greater good for minor gains. Weigh the pros and cons, keep a low profile to hide your capabilities, preserve your strength, and leave resolutely without hesitation. Devote yourself to developing your personal strength, endure patiently, and wait for the opportunity. As long as you can adhere to the right path and uphold integrity, you will surely make a comeback when the time is ripe and achieve great undertakings.
