One of the Sixty-Four Hexagrams: Feng Huo Jia Ren Hexagram: Jia Ren Hexagram [Extremely Inauspicious Hexagram] Governing Undertakings with Sincerity and Authority

Hexagram Name:
Jia Ren Hexagram [Extremely Inauspicious Hexagram] Governing Undertakings with Sincerity and Authority

Image Interpretation:
A fresh flower blooms in the mirror; it looks excellent but cannot be plucked. I advise you not to yearn for the flower in the mirror, for encountering this hexagram foretells something strange. This hexagram is an overlap of different trigrams (Li below and Xun above). Li represents fire; Xun represents wind. Fire makes hot air rise to form wind. All things should be based on their inner essence first, then extend outward. What originates internally takes shape externally. It metaphorically means that one should govern the family first before governing the world—when the family is in order, the world will be peaceful and happy.

Career:
Success depends on the situation of the family. Strictly managing the family and preventing unexpected accidents (like a "fire in the backyard") is a prerequisite for career success. If husband and wife live in harmony and cooperate with each other, they will surely get rid of poverty and become rich. The career should develop from the inside out, proceed step by step, and persist unremittingly, and then it will surely achieve something.

Business:
Apply the way of managing a family to business activities. When dealing with company employees, a combination of strictness and leniency should be adopted, with strictness as the main principle. It is advisable to have centralized leadership, with one person in charge, and everyone cooperating together, accumulating over time.

Pursuit of Fame:
It mainly relies on hard work and contentment with poverty and joy in the Dao, and more importantly, the support of the family. When the family is prosperous, one's personal career will easily succeed.

Travel:
Staying at home for a thousand days is pleasant, but going out even for a while is difficult. Take action only after full preparation.

Marriage:
A harmonious family is the foundation of everything, and the wife is the root of family order. Choosing a wife should be done carefully, and a harmonious and joyful relationship will make the family thrive.

Decision-Making:
Success comes smoothly with the support of a good family and wife. It is essential to maintain this advantage; otherwise, the decline from prosperity can happen in an instant. Special attention should be paid to preventing family changes. Managing a family focuses on treating people with modesty and kindness, and becoming rich through diligence, frugality, and savings. Relatives should be harmonious and friendly to each other.
