Divination of the 64 Hexagrams from the I Ching Lot 4

Hexagram Name:
Meng Hexagram [Middling to Inauspicious Hexagram] Enlightenment and Striving

Image Interpretation:
The line images in the hexagram indicate minor losses; when a gentleman divines with this hexagram, his fortune is not high. There will be trivial troubles in marriage and partnerships, and doing things will surely involve hardship and toil. This hexagram is an overlap of different trigrams (Kan below and Gen above). Gen represents the image of a mountain, symbolizing stopping; Kan represents the image of water, symbolizing danger. The hexagram form shows danger under the mountain, yet one does not stop moving forward, which signifies ignorance and obtuseness, hence the name "Meng Hexagram". However, because one grasps the opportunity and acts in accordance with the times, it embodies the hexagram image of enlightenment and smooth progress.

Career:
At the start of a career, things are chaotic and disorderly, with crises lurking everywhere. A brave and resolute action can turn the situation around. Nevertheless, one must receive strict education to cultivate this spirit of striving for progress. It is essential to be down-to-earth and avoid aiming too high and overreaching, otherwise, one will fall into a state of isolation and helplessness.
