What is the I Ching Divination Slip?

The I Ching (Book of Changes) encompasses all things and governs all categories of beings. It is an outstanding representative of the traditional culture of the Han nationality, and is said to have been written by King Wen of Zhou. The sixty-four hexagrams of the I Ching, commonly referred to as "Golden Hexagram Divination" or "Coin Divination", are believed to have been created by King Wen of Zhou. It is said that divination based on these sixty-four hexagrams is highly accurate.

The sixty-four hexagrams of the I Ching reflect the philosophy of life and the laws of nature's operation under sixty-four different things, scenarios, phenomena, and other specific circumstances through their combinations. Each of the sixty-four hexagrams consists of six lines (yao) with corresponding line texts (yaoci), corresponding to 384 different states in total. Through the changes brought about by these state transformations, one can understand the operation mode of all things in the world and the philosophy of life.
