How to accurately calculate one's own Bazi (Four Pillars of Destiny)?

Bazi is a fortune-telling method in traditional Chinese culture. It calculates a person's destiny and personality traits based on the combination of Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches of a person's birth year, month, day, and hour. So, how to calculate Bazi?

Firstly, we need to understand the concept of Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches. Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches is a time-recording method in ancient China. The "Heavenly Stems" are represented by ten characters: Jia, Yi, Bing, Ding, Wu, Ji, Geng, Xin, Ren, and Gui. The "Earthly Branches" are represented by twelve characters: Zi, Chou, Yin, Mao, Chen, Si, Wu, Wei, Shen, You, Xu, and Hai. Each person's Bazi is composed of four Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches, corresponding to the birth year, month, day, and hour respectively.

For example, if someone was born at 2 p.m. on March 5, 1990, his Bazi would be "the year of Gengwu, the month of Bingyin, the day of Yimao, and the hour of Jisi". During the process of calculating Bazi, attention should be paid to the mutual generation and restriction relationships among the Five Elements of the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches, as well as the Chinese zodiac signs corresponding to the twelve Earthly Branches.

Next, we need to deduce a person's destiny and personality traits according to the combination of Bazi. For example, if there are multiple Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches of metal, water, and wood in a person's Bazi, then he may be a smart, flexible, and witty person. And if there are multiple Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches of earth and fire in the Bazi, then he may be a down-to-earth, steady, and hardworking person.

Besides Bazi, we can also use other fortune-telling methods to understand a person's destiny and personality traits, such as Zi Wei Dou Shu (Purple Star Astrology), Four Pillars of Destiny, etc. Whichever method it is, it should be treated with caution and we should not be overly superstitious. We should view these traditional cultures from a scientific perspective and use them to enhance our life wisdom and enrich our life experiences.
