What is the Twelve Wishesin taosim?

" Twelve" is a number.

"Wishes" are thoughts and hopes in one's heart.

The first wish is for favorable weather and good harvests.
The second wish is for abundant harvests of the five grains.
The third wish is for the long life of the emperor.
The fourth wish is for a peaceful and stable country.
The fifth wish is for the people to live in peace and prosperity and for there to be abundant goods.
The sixth wish is for longevity, happiness, health, and peace.
The seventh wish is for disasters to disappear and troubles to disperse.
The eighth wish is for freedom from fire and water disasters.
The ninth wish is for wisdom and intelligence.
The tenth wish is for success in cultivating the Tao.
The eleventh wish is for the support of all gods.
The twelfth wish is for the deceased to ascend.

What is the Twelve Wishesin taosim?
At the same time, it is also prayed for all flying birds and beasts, all ants, snakes, and insects, all enemies and creditors, and all lonely souls of men and women. All beings in the four forms of birth and the six paths, all sentient beings. May they hear the scriptures and listen to the Dharma and ascend early.

The "Twelve Wishes" are a meritorious act that Taoists sincerely make wishes when reciting scriptures and doing daily practice. It is also a specific manifestation of cultivation and saving people. Therefore, Taoists have always recited these wishes with their mouths and thought about them with their hearts and followed the Tao.
