Scripture of the Primordial Perfected of the Great Unity for Guarding Life and Achieving Longevity
The Primordial Perfected of the Great Unity says:
Accumulated Yang forms the spirit; accumulated Yin forms the body.
These two halves of Yin and Yang combine to constitute one's person.

Just as the sun and moon are suspended in the empty sky, ceaselessly traversing their respective paths day and night,So too do worry, sorrow, joy, and anger assail each other in turn, giving rise to birth, aging, illness, and death.
Now, that which possesses foreknowledge is the child of the Dao; that which undergoes physical transformation is the mother of the Dao.
Since you know the child, you must recognize the mother.
The mother is a differentiated manifestation of the Supreme Ultimate;
The child is the Oneness within your original mind.
When these two unite harmoniously, they nurture and incubate both form and soul.
The person who can recognize this can achieve longevity.
Therefore, those skilled in refined contemplation gaze inwardly without blinking and listen inwardly without confusion.
They cause the desirous to become desireless, and the desireless to possess true aspiration.
They use Yang to transform Yin, and use harmony to transform the heart-mind.
When the heart-mind is harmonious, the qi is tranquil; when Yin is weak, the spirit is correct.
When the spirit is correct, essence becomes concentrated;
When essence is concentrated, the shadow-self is extinguished;
When the shadow-self is extinguished, physical form is forgotten;
When form is forgotten, the spirit responds;
When the spirit responds, there is union and harmony.
Through this union and harmony, the essential light from the heavens above can enter.
Once this essential light has entered, the Yang qi transforms independently,
Lifting the entire body, levitating into emptiness, going wherever it wills without obstruction.
It is also like the Reverted Elixir entering the mouth, thereby dispelling all Yin accumulations.
Focusing Yin to attract the spirit leads to immortality.
[Listen] attentively, O assembled immortals, to the divine mantra:
"The highest realms of the Three Clarities, the Primordial Perfected of the Great Unity,
Spreads harmony, disseminates teachings, opens radiance, and saves people.
Refines the hun soul in the Palace of the Sun, examines the po soul in the Wheel of the Moon.
The Celestial Emperor gathers the qi; the Earth Official makes the dust fly.
Thirteen hundred numinous beings, twelve thousand spirits,
Combine to form the immortal abode, establishing it as the True Body.
Within the True Body, the Seven Directors and the Nine Palaces,
The heart's light shines brightly, illuminating the Palace of Mysterious Brightness.
The Great Spirit of the Bright Void, harmonious qi, and the true heart-mind,
Purify internally the Five Viscera, summon externally the Five Spirits.
Through unending refined contemplation, open radiance and save people.
The aged return to robustness, the worn becomes new again.
They ingest the Six Jia, the Three Luminaries share the same spring.
Twelve officer-soldiers guard and protect your person.
Recite a thousand times daily, ascend to pay homage to the Primordial Sovereign.
The Ancient Lord of the Primordial Perfected, the Ultimate Dao exists alone,
Guards your primordial life, protects your spiritual root.
Diligently knock at the Celestial Drum, harmonize the form and refine the soul.
Recite this uniformly without forgetfulness, and you shall behold the Divine Lord.
Whip the void, ride the air, ascend to heaven, tread the clouds."
After reciting the preceding mantra, focus the gaze and concentrate the mind, guiding the divine qi to attack the myriad diseases within any person's body, causing immediate relief.
If practicing the method for achieving longevity and attaining the Dao, recite this mantra.
Upon completing one hundred thousand recitations, sit upright and engage in internal contemplation, severing all external attachments.
Within ten years, you will naturally accomplish the Dao.
If you are an Emperor protecting the state or a Lord guarding the Dao in your time, you should recite this scripture to purify the spirit, protect life, perform meritorious deeds, and save people. Then Yin and Yang will not err, and wind and rain will be harmonious and timely.
If faced with warfare, flood, or drought, follow the "Scripture of the Sacred Perfected of the Great Unity" to cast sixteen True Human images and a statue of the Great Unity True One. Cultivate these and practice fasting rituals; then you will be victorious in all endeavors. The methods are fully detailed in the "Scripture of the Sacred Perfected of the Great Unity."
If you encounter a Taoist cultivating authenticity, you may receive it through a sworn covenant at an altar.
If you encounter ordinary folk, you must not transmit it recklessly, lest you bring calamity upon your nine ancestors and cause punishment for your six kinds of relatives. Be wary! Keep it secret! Guard it as you would your own eyes and ears.
The various immortals, having heard this, paid homage, received the teaching, and each returned to their original offices to diligently ponder the wondrous Dao.
[This scripture] was stored in a golden casket, concealed in a jade box. Recite it diligently day and night; do not readily show it to others.
Only masters of the immortal gate should follow these teachings.

太乙元真保命长生经
太乙元真曰：积阳为神，积阴为形。阴阳两半，合成其身。犹如日月丽於虚空，昼夜不息，各行其分。忧悲喜怒递相攻夺，生老病死因之而有。夫前识者，道之子，形化者，道之母。既知其子，须识其母。母者，太上之分身也；子者，本心中之一也。二者合同，胎养形魂。人能识之。可以长存。故善精思者，内视不瞬，内听不昧。使欲者不欲，不欲者欲，以阳化阴，以和化心。心和黑静，阴弱神正。神正则精专，精专则影灭，影灭则形忘，形忘则神应，神应则和同。和同则天上精光可入，精光既入。阳黑独化，举身排空，所适元碍。亦如还丹入口，却诸阴累。专阴致神，以致不死。
暗尔仙众，诸神文咒曰：三清上境，太乙元真，布和法化，开光度人，炼魂日官，校魄月轮，天帝总黑，地官飞尘，千二百灵，万二千神，合成仙宅，立为真身。真身之中，七政九宫，心光朗耀，照玄明宫，明空大神，和气心真，内清五藏，外召五神，精思不穷，开光度人，老者反壮，故者还新，饮食六甲，三景同春，十二吏兵，保卫尔身，日诵千遍，上朝元君。元真老君，至道独存，保尔元命，卫尔灵根。勤叩天鼓，和形炼魂。齐诵不忘，当见神尊。策空驾浮，升天蹑云，诵前咒讫，则注目存，神引神黑，攻一切人身中万病立痒。
若修长生得道之法，即诵此咒。满十万遍，即端坐内思，更莫外绿。不经十年自然成道。若护国帝主保时道君，当诵此经，冲神保命，行功救人，阴阳不愆，风雨调顺。若有兵革水旱，当依《太乙圣真经》铸十六真人及太乙真像。修行斋录，则所向皆胜，其法具载《太乙圣真经》。若逢修真道士，则盟坛受之。若遇凡流，则不得妄传，必殃九祖，谪罚六亲，戒之秘之：如护眼目。诸仙闻已朝礼依行，各还本官，精思妙道。藏之金柜，秘之玉函，昼夜齐诵，勿常示人。唯仙门师，当依此教。
