Taiji Protection Amulet — River-Luo Diagrams
There is a wood that has known the strike of heaven. Split open by lightning, it carries within it a charge that ordinary materials cannot hold — the concentrated Yang force of the sky meeting the deep Yin of the earth. From this rare substance, Taoist masters at Longhu Mountain have shaped a talisman of uncommon power.
How It Is Made
Each pendant is hand-carved from authentic lightning-struck jujube wood, then inlaid with fine silver wire tracing the Hetu and Luoshu diagrams alongside the Taiji symbol. These are not decorative choices — they are cosmological maps, encoding the movement of Yin and Yang across heaven, earth, and the ten thousand things.
What It Carries
The Hetu and Luoshu are among the oldest diagrams in Chinese cosmology, said to have emerged from the Yellow River and the Luo River in ancient times. Together with the Taiji, they form a complete picture of how opposing forces — light and dark, motion and stillness, expansion and return — sustain and transform one another. To wear this amulet is to carry that understanding close to the body.
Consecration
Before leaving Longhu Mountain, every piece undergoes consecration by resident Taoist masters at the Celestial Masters' Mansion — the founding seat of Chinese Taoism. This ritual activates the talisman's protective function and aligns it with the wearer's energy. It is not a formality. It is the final and most essential step of making.
