Taoist Mantra: Monk's Three-Meal Mantra

Monk's Three-Meal Mantra
Nectar and jade liquor,
The Northern Emperor descends here.
The Queen Mother personally reveals,
Jade boys hold the cups.
My five zang-organs absorb the true and pure qi,
My eyes shine brightly and clearly.
One glance at all gods,
They turn into dust.
Dare anyone oppose me?
The Supreme Sovereign shall destroy and crush them.
Hurry, hurry, in accordance with the divine law!

Monks recite this mantra when eating. It prays to gods like the Northern Emperor and the Queen Mother to bestow pure and fine food. They wish to absorb pure spiritual qi through eating and drinking to nourish the body and mind, and see clearly. Meanwhile, relying on the gods and the Supreme Sovereign's divine law, they drive away all evil disturbances and protect themselves from harm.
