Abridged Chronicle of Lord Lao
This work is an abridgement of The Supreme Lord Laozi's Chronicle of the Primordial Origin by Xie Shoubin. Its first volume, Chronological Life of Lord Laozi, narrates the entire story of Lord Laozi's deeds and the worship of him by emperors of successive dynasties, corresponding in content to the first volume of The Supreme Lord Laozi's Chronicle of the Primordial Origin. The second and third volumes record Lord Laozi's deeds from the Three Sovereigns period to the Zhou Dynasty, including manifesting in the world to establish teachings, acting as a teacher through kalpas, passing the pass to bestow scriptures, and transforming the barbarians in the Western Regions, which are largely consistent with the content of Volumes Two to Four of The Supreme Lord Laozi's Chronicle of the Primordial Origin.
