In the existing version of The Daozang, it is appended to Annotated Explanation of the True Meaning of the Zhouyi Cantong Qi by Chapters and included in the Taixuan Section. The book contains Tripod Vessel Ode, which eulogizes the specifications of the tripods and vessels used in alchemy. It also includes Bright Mirror Chart, which is composed of eight concentric circles, sequentially marking the names of the Eight Trigrams, the Twenty-Eight Mansions, lunar phases, the Twelve Hexagrams of Yin-Yang Waxing and Waning, the Ten Months, the Twelve Earthly Branches, as well as the Four Seasons and five elements. The purpose of the book is to illustrate the theories of hexagram lines, celestial phenomena, and the waxing and waning changes of yin and yang expounded in the Zhouyi Cantong Qi—all of which embody the core alchemical and cosmological concepts of Taoism.
