Ancient-Text Dragon-Tiger Commentary
As an annotated version of the Ancient Text of the Dragon-Tiger Scripture, this book divides the scripture into twenty-six chapters, providing annotations closely aligned with the text with little elaboration beyond it. Its interpretations are largely based on the theories of yin-yang, five elements, and the changes of trigrams and hexagrams expounded in the Cantong Qi, expounding the essence of inner alchemy cultivation. Attached at the end of the original text is an essay titled On Reading the Dragon-Tiger Scripture, which is the author’s reading notes—extracting several phrases and sentences from the original scripture and offering brief explanations. This work is a representative text in the system of Taoism scripture annotations, embodying the integration of alchemical theories and classical Taoist thought.
