Eight Gates Manual Of Yellow Emperor
The first volume expounds the art of ascending to immortality by borrowing the theories of Guxu and Wangxiang from the ancient military Yin-Yang school. It contains more than ten methods including the reversal of Yin and Yang, the combination of the Three Marvels with the Gates, the recognition of the Eight Gates, the explanation of fundamental origins, the guidance for coming and going, and methods for both official and private use, accompanied by the Taiyi Eight Gates Reversal Life and Death Chart.
The second volume narrates the Six Ding Jade Girl Method, which involves writing talismans, reciting incantations, chanting true names, and performing sacrificial rituals to the Six Ding to seek disaster elimination, demon subduing and future divination. It records the Talismans of the Lunar Jade Girl and the Six Ding Divine Generals, as well as the Seals of the Six Ding Divine Formula.
The third volume summarizes the effects of the ancient practice of the Six Ding and Eight Gates methods, as well as the arts of writing talismans, reciting incantations, and pacing the asterism to ascend to heaven, with a Step-by-Step Gang Star Chart included therein.
