Also known as The Authentic Scripture of the Seven Primitives of the Northern Emperor for Prolonging Life. The original text does not record the compiler.

It states: “In the second year of the Chiwu reign of the Wu Kingdom (239 AD), the Immortal Lord Ge received it from the Supreme Lord Laozi, and in the Wei Dynasty, Master Ye transmitted it to the world.”

It is generally regarded as forged by Taoist priests during the Sui Dynasty and Tang Dynasty.

This text teaches the method of offering sacrifices or visualizing the Perfect Ones of the Seven Primitives of the Northern Emperor to avert calamities, prolong life, and ascend to the Purple Court. The “Seven Primitives of the Northern Emperor” refer to the deities of the seven stars of the North Pole. The text records in detail their hidden names, true forms, divine powers, as well as the rituals and methods for visualizing and offering sacrifices to them. It contains various divine incantations and the “True Form Charts of the Seven Primitives of the Northern Emperor” (talismans).
