Compiler unknown.

Since the name of Mo Yueding, a Taoist priest of the Shenxiao School in the late Song and early Yuan dynasties, appears in the text, it was presumably composed in the Yuan Dynasty.

One scroll, included in The Supplement to the Daozang.

Esoteric Liturgy of Celestial Mother

This text records the ritual for worshipping and praying to the Primordial Dipper Mother for blessings and deliverance from misfortunes. It proclaims that the Primordial Dipper Mother is the Thunder Ancestor of the Nine Heavens, who rules over all beings and guides them to transcend all sufferings.

Thus, sentient beings may invite Taoist priests to perform offerings to the Dipper Mother, confess their sins on their behalf, pray for grace, absolve guilt, and receive blessings to eliminate calamities.

The ritual includes burning talismans to summon deities, reciting incantations to purify the altar, offering incense and wine, bowing and submitting memorials, as well as pacing the celestial steps and chanting, among other liturgical practices.
