Original notation: “Received by Ouyang Wen, Official of the Supreme Unity of the Blue Sky and Cave Splendor, in the Three Cavern Scriptures and Registers of the Supreme Clarity.”
Probably composed in the Tang Dynasty or the Northern Song Dynasty.
Catalog of Lost Scriptures in the Daozang records “Wonderful Scripture of the Divine Incantations of the Northern Emperor in ten volumes”, which is suspected to be this text.

Exorcism Spell Canon Of Northern Emperor
The current edition has ten volumes, included in the Zhengyi Section of The Daozang.
This scripture mainly teaches the arts of preserving the gods, reciting incantations, and applying talismans and divine seals to subdue demons, expel evil, eliminate disasters and ward off misfortunes. The entire text is divided into ten chapters, containing numerous incantations and talismans, all used for subduing demons and eliminating calamities.
Various incantations and talismans are mostly attributed to Yuanshi Tianzun, the Supreme Lord of the Dao, or the Northern Emperor.
