Exorcism Talismans of the Northern Pole

The original text does not record the author.

The book mentions Zhang Zhengchang, Zhang Yuchu, Zhang Yuqing and others, Celestial Masters of the Zhengyi Sect in the early Ming Dynasty. Therefore, it should have been composed by Taoist priests of the Zhengyi Sect during the Ming Dynasty.

Exorcism Talismans of the Northern Pole

One scroll, included in the Zhengyi Section of The Daozang.

This text teaches the methods of subduing demons and slaying ghosts. It contains the names and numbers of divine generals and soldiers who slay demons and ghosts, the Divine Talismans of the Supreme Lord of the Northern Pole, the Great Ghost-Slaying Talismans of the Supreme Lord, the names of the Six Palaces of Fengdu of the Northern Pole and corresponding divine incantations, the Ghost-Slaying Seal of the Northern Pole, and so on.

It is said that wearing the above talismans and divine seals, reciting the incantations and invoking the names, can destroy evil spirits, subdue demons and goblins, eliminate evil and cure illnesses, thereby “acting on behalf of Heaven to transform beings, assisting the nation and saving the people”.
