Hou Shanyuan's Commentary on the Serene Clarity Classic
Annotated by Hou Shanyuan, a Taoist priest of the Jin Dynasty. It consists of one volume and is included in the Yujue (Jade Secrets) category of The Dongshen Section in The Daozang.
This work interprets the scripture sentence by sentence, with an eight-line five-character ode appended after each annotation. Its core purport is "not clinging to emptiness as mere emptiness, nor attaching to existence as mere existence", which roughly aligns with the original essence of The Scripture of Constant Purity and Tranquility.
