Huangdi Neijing - Lost Chapters 黄帝内经素问遗篇

It is presumably composed during the Song Dynasty.

Consisting of five volumes, it is included in the Tai Xuan Section of The Daozang.

This book contains two chapters: Treatise on Acupuncture Methods and Treatise on the Root Causes of Diseases, which discuss medical theories such as Zang-Fu organs, meridians, acupuncture techniques, Qi movement, Yin and Yang, and deficiency-excess syndromes, interspersed with Taoist practices like Visualization, Qi retention, and External Alchemy. Originally part of the seventh volume of Suwen in Huangdi Neijing (Yellow Emperor's Internal Classic·Plain Questions), these two chapters had long been lost. In Wang Bing's Annotated Commentary on Suwen compiled in the Tang Dynasty, the chapters were listed in the table of contents but lacked content. When Lin Yi and others in the Northern Song Dynasty revised Wang Bing's annotated version, they pointed out: "Nowadays, there exist lost chapters of Suwen... still falsely attributed to Wang Bing as annotations; their reasoning is crude and unworthy of adoption." It is evident that these two chapters were forged during the Tang or Song Dynasty under a false name.
