Illustrated Commentary on the Serene Clarity Classic

Traditionally attributed to Bai Yuchan (who divided the text into chapters and corrected errors) with annotations by Wang Yuanhui. It consists of one volume and is included in the Yujue (Jade Secrets) category of The Dongshen Section in The Daozang.

Based on the chapter-divided version of the scripture by the Southern Song Taoist priest Bai Yuchan, this work compiles annotations from various elixir scriptures and alchemical texts. It was presumably compiled during the reigns of Emperor Chengzong and Emperor Wuzong of the Yuan Dynasty. Bai Yuchan divided the scripture into five chapters: Chapter on the Innate Great Dao, Chapter on Creation and Naturalness, Chapter on Uniting Spirit with the Dao, Chapter on the Insights of the Virtuous and the Foolish, and Chapter on Manifesting Without Fixed Form.

Interspersed with diagrams alongside the annotations, the text interprets The Scripture of Constant Purity and Tranquility as an essential guide to Internal Alchemy.
