Nine Elder Seal Exorcism Rites 灵宝净明新修九老神印伏魔秘法

He Shoucheng is known as He Zhengong, a Taoist priest of the Pure Brightness Sect in the Southern Song Dynasty. The original work is one scroll and included in the Methods category of the Dongxuan Section of the Daozang.

It features a preface by the author, which states that in the Xinhai year of the Shaoxing reign of the Southern Song Dynasty (1131), Perfect Lord Xu (Xu Xun) descended to the Yulong Wanshou Palace on West Mountain in Jiangxi (present-day Xinjian County, Nanchang), where he "elucidated the essential tenets of the Dao and expounded the two treatises The Qi Mirror and The Divine Seal". He Shoucheng compiled this book based on Perfect Lord Xu’s teachings, dividing it into two treatises: The Divine Seal treatise expounds the doctrines of Pure Brightness Taoism and the method of subduing demons with the divine seal, including the design of the Demon-Subduing Divine Seal and the mnemonics for its use; The Qi Mirror treatise elaborates on the method of cultivating the spirit through absorbing qi.
