Scripture of the Supreme Origin
It is not included in the Orthodox The Daozang, and only exists as a Dunhuang manuscript with the catalog number S4753. The manuscript is incomplete at both the beginning and the end, preserving merely 18 lines of text. Shinobu Obuchi proposed the title The Upper Primordial Scripture for this text in his A Catalog of Dunhuang Taoist Scriptures based on its content. The scripture primarily recounts the practice of upholding and reciting it to exorcise demons and drive away ghosts, a typical practice in Taoist arts alongside Taoist Talismans and incantation recitation.
