Serene Clarity Classic - Verse Commentary
This work annotates The Scripture of Constant Purity and Tranquility with five-character odes. The annotations integrate Taoist and Buddhist Chan ideas, taking "clarifying the mind, dispelling desires, and abiding in purity and tranquility" as the core tenet. It urges people to eliminate greed, anger, and ignorance, and cultivate precepts, concentration, and wisdom, so that the six desires will not arise and the dharma realm will be broad and boundless.
