This scripture is attributed to the Lord of the Dao and the Perfect Ones of the Seven Primitives, expounding the methods of summoning the true and subduing demons. The text is divided into three sections.
Seven Stars Canon for Demon-Subduing Spells
The first is The Section of the Seven Perfected Ones Summoning the Heavenly True and Subduing Demons. It elaborates on establishing an altar of the Big Dipper Seven Primitives, lighting lamps and performing rituals, summoning the Heavenly Lords and divine soldiers to slay ghosts and cut off evil, so as to eliminate calamities and deliver all living beings from misfortunes.
The second is The Section of the Seven Perfected Ones Commanding the Summoning of the Five Thunder Divine Soldiers to Subdue Demons. It expounds the methods of summoning the divine soldiers of the Five Heavens' Cloud, Thunder, Fire and Bell to eliminate evil spirits and expel pestilential qi, including incantations and divine talismans for summoning the Five Thunder Divine Soldiers.
The third is The Section of the Seven Perfected Ones Summoning and Subduing the Demons of the Six Caverns. It contains nine divine talismans and one divine diagram. It is said that wearing the talismans and diagram in accordance with the Dharma allows one to roam with all the gods, summon spirits and subdue demons, ward off misfortune and prolong life.
