Song Eastern Taiyi Palace Inscription

In the eighth year of the Taiping Xingguo reign of Emperor Taizong of Song (983), an imperial edict ordered the construction of the Eastern Taiyi Palace southeast of the capital Kaifeng. In the following year, Emperor Taizong personally went to the Eastern Taiyi Palace to worship the God Taiyi, and commissioned Hu Meng to compose this inscription to record the event.
