Supreme Azure Thunder Command Scripture
This scripture expounds on the merits and divine power of Marshal Wen, the Thunder God. It states that Marshal Wen is the essence of Bingding (celestial stems symbolizing fire) in heaven and a deity of the Fire Emperor. He incarnated in the mortal world during the Han Dynasty and was conferred the title of General Yiling. The deity is depicted with red hair and a blue face, clad in golden armor and a red robe, wielding the power of thunder and wind to assist in Celestial Master Daoism Dharma practice and deliver the people. In the first year of the Tianbao reign of the Tang Dynasty, by the order of Taishang Laojun (the Supreme Lord Laozi), Marshal Wen led thunder soldiers and mountain troops with Taoist talismans to quell disasters and plagues, eliminate evil spirits and demons, and protect the territory and its people. The scripture also mentions that Marshal Wen secretly transmitted the "Command Talisman and the Supreme Seal of the Five Great Mountains" to the mortal world, which is named the Green Mysterious Earth Thunder. Reciting and revering this scripture is believed to dispel disasters, cure illnesses, and bring peace and prosperity to all living beings. The text contains one eulogy and one incantation respectively.
