Supreme Eight Spirits Numinous Charts

This book expounds the methods of summoning the Eight Histories to communicate with the spirits and connect with the sacred beings. The so-called Eight Histories refer to the deities of the Eight Trigrams , each with a specific name: the first History’s husband is named Linggang and wife Zhuxia; the second History’s husband Jianggang and wife Xuanjing; the third History’s husband Tiangang and wife Yuejing; the fourth History’s husband Riyuan and wife Taixuan. A Taoist practitioner who observes pure fasting and bathes to worship the eight deities, recites the names of the Eight Histories, and uses the Eight Trigrams Divine Talismans and the Eight Histories Spirit-Communicating Talismans can summon the Eight Histories to descend with their spirits, divine good and bad fortune as well as auspicious and inauspicious omens, foresee unforeseen events, avert disasters and dispel misfortunes, attain prosperity and safeguard peace. This Taoist method originates from The Supreme Infinite Great Way Natural True One Talisman Reciting Scripture, a Taoist text of the Shangqing School from the Six Dynasties, a classic of Internal Alchemy traditions.
