The Bao Shuyang 鲍叔阳
Paul PengBao Shuyang was a native of Guangning (present-day Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province) during the reign of Emperor Gaozu of the Western Han Dynasty.
According to the records in Volume Twelve of The Comprehensive Mirror of True Immortals Through the Ages Who Embodied Taoism, he was fond of health-preserving techniques from his youth.
He practiced the method of taking cinnamon powder as an elixir and, together with Sima Jizhu, studied under Xiling Zidu of Mount Weiyu. Later, he attained Taoism and ascended to immortality.
