The Bao Zhizhen 鲍志真

Bao Zhizhen (? - 1251) was a native of Lishui (now part of Jiangsu Province) during the Southern Song Dynasty.
His courtesy name was Chunfu. He entered Maoshan Mountain to receive Taoist ordination and obtained the Jingzhen Sword of Nanyue. In the third year of the Chunyou era (1243), he submitted a memorial to the emperor to resign from his official post. Later, he resided in Peizhen Guan (Peizhen Abbey) and recited the Taiqiu Yin Shu (Esoteric Book of Taiqiu) every day.
In the fourth month of the eleventh year of the Chunyou era (1251), he passed away and was posthumously awarded the title "Mr. Mingwei" (Mr. Bright and Subtle). He was the 36th patriarch of the Shangqing School of Maoshan Taoism.
