Cao Ximing was a figure of the early Ming Dynasty.

He was a Taoist priest registered under Longhu Mountain (a sacred site of Taoism).

In the 15th year of the Hongwu reign (1382), he served in the Daolu Division (the top imperial agency managing national Taoist affairs).
His works include Taishang Hunyuan Shilu (Records of the Supreme Primordial Origin), which has been handed down to later generations.
