The Celestial Dipper Natal Longevity Annotated FULL NAME IS

Commentary on the Scripture of the Supreme Mysterious Numinous Northern Dipper for Securing One's Natal Life and Extending Longevity

Compiled by Xu Daoling and revised by Xu Daoxuan.
Completed in the Yuan Dynasty, the original text consisted of two volumes, which was later divided into five volumes by subsequent scholars, and included in the Jade Commentary Category of The Dongshen Section of The Daozang.

This scripture is composed of talismanic scripts and divine incantations. Xu Daoling examined the strengths and shortcomings of the ancient exegeses, and interpreted the text with his own insights; his commentary also encompasses matters of fasting and abstinence as well as inner cultivation practices of Taoism.
