The Celestial Warrior's Primordial Chronicle FULL NAME IS

The Wonderful Scripture of the Divine Incantation of the True Martial Sovereign, the Mysterious Heaven Great Sage, Preached by the Supreme Lord Its author is unknown. It was probably compiled between the Tang and Song dynasties and prevailed in the Northern Song Dynasty.

It is a single scroll, and is included in the Category of Genealogical Records, Dongshen Division of the Daozang (Taoist Canon).

This scripture takes the form of a dialogue between the Ziwei Great Emperor and the Perfect Man of Wonderful Action, narrating the origin of General Xuanwu and his deeds of descending to the mortal world and manifesting his divine presence in mortal forms.

It proclaims that the Ancestral Sage of Mysterious Origin (Xuan Yuan) reincarnated eighty times to become Lord Lao (Laozi), and his eighty-second reincarnation was Xuanwu. Xuanwu was reincarnated in the womb of the Empress of the Pure Joy Kingdom, born on the third day of the third lunar month in the first year of the Kaihuang Period, then retreated to Wudang Mountain to cultivate the Dao for forty-two years, and ascended to immortality upon the accomplishment of his merits. The scripture also recounts the myth that Xuanwu, by the mandate of the Primordial Heavenly Sovereign, led divine troops to descend to the mortal world, subdue demons and evil spirits, redeem the mortal world and deliver all living beings.

Since the scripture contains divine incantations, it is thus named Wonderful Scripture of the Divine Incantation. This book exerted a considerable influence on later generations: Chen Gong, a Taoist priest of the Southern Song Dynasty, wrote annotations for it; the Taoist priests of Wudang Mountain in the Yuan Dynasty compiled Records of the Manifestation of the Divine Majesty of Xuan Tian Shang Di, also taking this scripture as the fundamental source.
