The Che Langu 车兰谷

The Che Langu 车兰谷

Paul Peng
Che Langu was a figure of the Yuan Dynasty, and his literary name (hao) was Biyangzi.

He studied under Chen Zhixu as his disciple, and was fully taught the esoteric doctrines of the "Innate and Acquired Golden Elixir" (a core concept in traditional Chinese Taoist alchemy, where "Innate Golden Elixir" refers to the primordial vital energy inherent in humans, and "Acquired Golden Elixir" denotes the refined energy cultivated through Taoist practices). He resided in Jiugong Mountain to practice Taoism for more than forty years.
