The Chen Benrun 陈本润
Paul PengShare
Chen Benrun was a native of Yanping County during the Ming Dynasty, and he styled himself "Qingxin" (Pure Heart).
During the Zhengde reign period (1506–1521), he held the position of "Tidian" (a senior administrative official in Taoist temples) at Yuanmiao Temple.

He encountered an extraordinary person who taught him the "Xuanpin Method" (a core Taoist cultivation technique focusing on the "mysterious female" energy, a concept in Taoism representing the origin of all things) and the "secret formulas of Dongtian" (Dongtian referring to sacred Taoist grotto-heavens, believed to be realms of immortals). Since then, he became famous for his Taoist arts and practices in the world.
