The Chen Defu 陈德福

Chen Defu was a figure who lived during the Jin and Yuan dynasties.

He was officially conferred the title of "Chongren Xubai Mingyi Dashi" (a high-ranking honorific title in Taoism, roughly meaning "Master of Venerable Benevolence, Void Purity and Bright Righteousness") by imperial decree. He served as the abbot of Tiantan Da Ziwei Gong (Tiantan Grand Ziwei Palace, where "Tiantan" refers to a sacred altar and "Ziwei" is associated with the Purple Forbidden Enclosure in traditional Chinese astronomy, often symbolizing nobility and divinity) and held the position of "Tidian" (an administrative and supervisory post in ancient Taoist temples) of Qingxu Xiaoyou Dongtian Tie'an Longxiang Gong (Qingxu Xiaoyou Dongtian Tie'an Longxiang Palace, where "Xiaoyou Dongtian" is one of the "Thirty-Six Small Grotto-Heavens" in Taoist cosmology, representing a sacred Taoist realm, and "Tie'an" likely refers to a place name or a characteristic of the temple).
