Cheng Tuxu (? - 809 AD) was a native of Guozhou (a historical region now part of Sichuan Province) during the reign of Emperor Xianzong of the Tang Dynasty.
From a young age, he was fond of Taoism. Later, he encountered Xie Ziran, who imparted Taoist ordination certificates (Lulu) and related doctrines to him.

He passed away in the 4th year of the Yuanhe era of Emperor Xianzong (809 AD). During the Song Dynasty, he was posthumously awarded the title "Great Master Daoji" (Great Master of Dao Salvation)
