The Cheng Wuwei 成无为
Paul PengShare
Cheng Wuwei was a native of Danling (now part of Sichuan Province) during the Tang Dynasty.
From an early age, she became a nüguan (Taoist nun—a female Taoist practitioner who follows ascetic and spiritual cultivation practices). She chose to reside at the foot of Mount Longhu.

She practiced fuqi quelu (inhaling vital energy and abstaining from grain), canxia ruzhi (feasting on celestial radiance and eating ganoderma), and tiaoxing liangu (regulating her physical form and refining her bones). Later, she attained the Taoist Dao and ascended to immortality.
