The Chu Boxiu 褚伯秀

Chu Boxiu was a native of Qiantang (now part of Zhejiang Province) during the Xianchun era of the Southern Song Dynasty. His courtesy name was Xueyan, and he was a Taoist priest at Tianqing Temple in Hangzhou.

He studied under Fan Yingyuan. To show gratitude for his teacher's kindness, he compiled A Comprehensive Compilation of Annotations on the "Tao Te Ching" (Nanhua Zhenjing) in 106 volumes, which was printed and published in the middle of the Xianchun era.
