The Daoist Comprehensive Ritual Codex FULL NAME IS

Complete Collection of Ritual Norms of the Daoist School

Originally credited as compiled and revised by Zhong Li, a disciple of the Scriptures and Talismans of the Three Caverns, who is believed to have been a Taoist priest of the Southern Song Dynasty.
Consisting of eighty-seven volumes in total, it is included in the Zhengyi Section of The Daozang.

This work is a grand compendium of ritual norms for Taoist fasting and sacrificial ceremonies (jiao), compiling a total of sixteen ritual methods of fasting and sacrificial observances in full. Its chapter contents are as follows: 1. Ritual of Honoring the Birth Day and Benign Destiny; 2. Ritual of Repentance and Atonement for Diseases; 3. Ritual of Pacifying Calamities and Propitious Star Manifestations; 4. Numinous Treasure Grand Unity Ritual of Praying for Rain and Snow; 5. Wenchang Blessing for Official Rank, Memorial-presenting Altar Ritual; 6. Grand Sacrificial Ritual of Praying for Offspring; 7. Ritual of Vowing to Abstain from Fire and Pacify Calamities with Precept Lectures; 8. Ritual of Pacifying Dwellings and Resolving Afflictions; 9. Ritual of Pacifying and Atoning for Star-aligned Misfortunes; 10. Joint Sacrificial Ritual of the Northern and Southern Dippers; 11. Northern Dipper Ritual of Prolonging Life; 12. True Martial Sovereign Responsive Grand Sacrificial Ritual; 13. Ritual of Taoist Cultivation of the True and Repentance for Sins; 14. Shangqing Ascension to Immortality, Salvation and Soul-perpetuating Altar Ritual; 15. Eastern Peak Salvation and Memorial-presenting Grand Sacrificial Ritual; 16. Numinous Treasure Grand Sacrificial Ritual of Veneration to Deities.

Most of the aforesaid sacrificial rituals originated in the Song and Yuan dynasties, serving to pacify calamities and relieve adversities, preserve life and prolong longevity, and deliver the souls of the deceased from suffering. Their canonical ritual lineage follows the disciplinary norms of the Tang and Song Taoist sacrificial systems enshrined in The Dongshen Section, with textual origins rooted in the ritual protocols formalized in the flourishing age of the the Tang Dynasty.
