The Daoren Songyang 松阳道人
Paul PengShare
Daoren Songyang (Taoist Priest of Songyang) was a figure of the Ming Dynasty. He traveled to Guiyang (a historical region in present-day Hunan) during his journeys. He often treated people's illnesses using his internal qi (vital energy), and a great many patients he cured survived and recovered.

He lived to be over eighty years old before passing away. Among his disciples was Liu Dongyang, who later passed down his teachings to Tan Chutian. His medical methods were widely practiced in Hunan.
Details of his life story can be found in the Guiyang Zhou Zhi (Records of Guiyang Prefecture).
