The Ding Yanxia 丁衍夏

Ding Yanxia was a native of Jinjiang, Fujian during the Ming Dynasty.
He went by the literary names Yun Sou (Elder of Clouds) and Taiqing Zhangren (Venerable Taiqing).

During the Wanli reign period (1573–1620), he lived in seclusion on Qingyuan Mountain. Well-versed in classical texts, he was proficient in and conducted research on various Taoist practices—including esoteric arts, alchemical methods, divination, and the Five Elements (Wuxing). He was revered by people of his time.
