The True Grotto Shangqing Dragon-Flying Nine Paths Silk Slip Hidden Instructions
The author of The True Grotto Shangqing Dragon-Flying Nine Paths Silk Slip Hidden Instructions (Dongzhen Shangqing Longfei Jiudao Chisu Yinjue) is unknown.

Judging from the content and wording, it was likely composed by Taoist priests of the Shangqing School during the Northern and Southern Dynasties (420–589 CE). Both Volume 8 of The Pearl Satchel of the Three Grottoes (Sandong Zhunang) by Wang Xuanhe of the Tang Dynasty and Volume 1 of Classified Matters of the Shangqing Dao (Shangqing Daolei Shixiang) quote from this text.
The surviving version today consists of one scroll and is included in the Zhengyi (Orthodox Unity) Section of the Daozang (Taoist Canon). The first half of the scripture discusses the "Way of the Dragon-Flying Silk Slip," containing a scripture-transmitting covenant text and a set of "White-Feathered Black-Plumed Dragon-Flying Jade Talismans." It states that by practicing and wearing the talismans in accordance with the prescribed method for seven years, one can enter and exit the netherworld, float amid the nine heavens; and by wearing the talismans for fourteen years, one can ascend at dawn in broad daylight and rise to the Shangqing (Supreme Clarity) realm.
The second half, titled The Supreme Flight Feather Scripture: The Upper Record of Ascending to Mystery (Taishang Feixing Yu Jing Shengxuan Shangji), contains a set of Spirit-Flying Jade Talismans. It claims that by practicing and wearing the talismans in accordance with the method for seven to nine years, one can fly on clouds and ascend to the Nine Mysteries realm.
