The Dong Zhen Tai Wei Jin Hu Zhen Fu 洞真太微金虎真符

Also known as The True Talisman of the Golden Tiger and Jade Essence.

As one of the early classic texts of the Shangqing School (Supreme Clarity School), it likely originated during the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317–420 CE).

This text has already been quoted in The Essential Secrets of the Supreme (Wushang Miyao) and is also recorded in The Catalogue of the Supreme Clarity Great Cavern True Scripture (Shangqing Dadong Zhenjing Mu).

The present version is included in the Zhengyi Bu (Orthodox Unity Section) of the Daozang (Taoist Canon).

The text contains one "True Talisman of the Golden Tiger," one chapter titled Inner Incantation of Mighty Divinity, and the ritual protocols for the covenant of transmitting and bestowing talismanic texts. It is claimed that this talisman was transmitted by the Heavenly Lord of the Supreme Mystery (Taiwei Tiandijun), with divine sounds and profound Daoist mysteries—its subtle meanings are hard to fully elaborate. As described, the talisman "either bears the hidden names of heavenly demons or represents the inner names of ten thousand deities."

Taoist practitioners who wear this talisman on their person and recite the Incantation of Mighty Divinity as well as the "Chapters of the Jade Clarity" (Yuqing Zhang) will be able to "behead nine demons and annihilate the forms of a thousand evil spirits." This talisman is among the important talismans of the early Shangqing School.

The text also appends the "Uninhibited Seven Origin Talismans," the "Five Bell Divine Talismans," along with the methods for wearing these two talismans and the covenant rituals for their transmission and bestowal. These two talismans are also important talismans of the early Shangqing School, used to command divine power and subdue demons.
