Dongxuan Lingbao Benxiang Yundu Jieqi Jing (Scripture of the Fundamental Nature, Cycle of Transmigration, and Kalpa Periods of the Numinous Treasure of the Cavernous Mystery), the author of which is unknown.
According to research, it should have been compiled by Taoist priests in the late Southern and Northern Dynasties or the Tang Dynasty.

The original text consists of one scroll and is included in the Text category of the Cavernous Mystery section of the Daozang (Taoist Canon).
The scripture is pseudonymously attributed to the Primordial Heavenly Worthy delivering the teachings to "Taoist Yanming". Its main contents include:
- The Heavenly Worthy expounding to Yanming the karmic causes and conditions for the blessings and longevity of men and women in "Dongfu Mountain";
- The origin and evolution of the ten-scroll Dongyuan Shenzhou Jing (Scripture of the Divine Incantations of the Cavernous Abyss);
- The methods of accumulating various merits and cultivating Taoist practices;
- The Taoist methods for escaping all sufferings and relieving disasters;
- The practices for men and women to achieve success in the three karmas (body, mouth, mind) and attain the status of the Ten Immortals.
The scripture also discusses the true meanings of "the unity of the Dao" and "the fundamental nature", the phenomena of heaven and earth's formation and the arrangement of the sun and moon, the numbers governing the transformation of kalpa cycles, and the methods for pursuing blessings and avoiding misfortunes, among other topics.
