The Hidden Talismans and Morning Diagrams of the Jade Register of the Eight Sceneries from the True Grotto (Dòngzhēn Bājǐng Yùlù Chéntú Yǐnfú), an early classic of the Shangqing School, is believed to have been compiled during the Eastern Jin and Southern Dynasties.
Originally the second half of The Jade Register of the Eight Sceneries of Golden Essence from the True Grotto, Attributed to the Supreme Dao Lord, the Highest Sage of Shangqing (Shàngqīng Gāoshèng Tàishàng Dàdàojūn Dòngzhēn Jīnyuán Bājǐng Yùlù), it was mistakenly separated as an independent text in the Daoist Canon (Dàozàng).

The text contains nine talisman diagrams, including The Hidden Talisman of the Great Morning of Nine Radiances (Jiǔhuī Tàichén Yǐnfú), The Hidden Talisman of Observing the Spiritual Jade Morning (Guānlíng Yùchén Yǐnfú), and The Hidden Talisman of the Nine Poles of the Universal Morning (Zǒngchén Jiǔjí Yǐnfú). It is claimed that these hidden talismans originated from the "Palace of Eightfold Non-Empty Emergence" in the Heavenly Realm and were transmitted by the Purple Emperor of Yuqing to the Supreme Dao Lord.
For cultivators who obtain these hidden talismans, they should, on the eight solar terms and their birth date, practice visualization (cún sī) of three layers of pure azure clouds descending into their chamber from the northwest sky. They must swallow the cloud qi, contemplate the divine beings, and recite incantations.
After eight years of cultivation, they can ride the chariot of the Eight Sceneries to ascend to Yuqing (the Jade Pure Realm), the highest heavenly domain in Taoist cosmology.
