Du Chengkuan lived during the Zhiyuan era of the Yuan Dynasty.
His literary name was Xiuan Laoren (Old Man of Xiuan Hermitage). He was a successful candidate in the imperial examination (jinshi) and a disciple of the Zhen dadao School (True Great Dao School, a major Taoist school in the Yuan Dynasty). He was bestowed the title of "Great Master of Chongdao Guangyan" (Great Master Who Revere the Dao and Disseminate Its Teachings Extensively).

He wrote works such as Record of Reconstructing Xiantian Palace on Gou Mountain in Luojing (Luojing refers to the ancient name of Luoyang, a historical capital in China).

Paul Peng is a Zhengyi Taoist priest from Longhu Mountain, Jiangxi — the ancestral home of the Celestial Masters' tradition. Ordained at 25 after a dream from the Celestial Master, he has practiced for 25 years under Master Zeng Guangliang. He is one of the curators of this store, which is officially authorized by Tianshi Fu. All items are consecrated at the temple by the resident priest team.
